Meet Charlie... a beautiful giant of a cat and a real gentleman! He lived with his family for all of his 13 years. You would think he would be one of the family wouldn't you? Well think again...Charlie was taken to the vets to be 'put to sleep' because his family were emigrating to Australia! That's right, Charlie was not going with them!

Luckily, the vets telephoned WYAIN and we dashed over there to have this 'love sponge' signed over to us. At least now he was safe with us.

We very quickly noticed that he was constantly drooling a vile smelling green fluid and that he had difficulty eating. His breath was terrible as well. 

Charlie needed emergency dental treatment or he could die from septicaemia or endocarditis. All of his diseased teeth were removed - in fact his very, very long front fangs almost fell out on the operating table - that's how bad they were! He must have been in so much pain for a long time.

We re-named him Mr. Chumley. He looked even more handsome now the fangs and bad teeth had been removed - he did have a look of the Draculas before the dental work!

Mr.Chumley was now eating quite happily, his breath was good and there was no drooling. Mr. Chumley was on antibiotics and his inoculations were updated so he was healthy again.

His teeth must have been in a terrible state, and ignored, for years for this situation to have developed. In fact they were so rotten we have kept them in a jar to show people!

Mr. Chumley now lives a wonderful, happy life in Scotland.
