Luckily, a responsible lady took the cat to a local vets - sadly, he was not micro chipped. WYAIN were contacted to help. The cat needed an operation to try and save the leg - needless to say we agreed to pay for the operation and take him into our care.

No owner came forward for Pomfret and so we had him neutered; micro chipped; wormed; treated for fleas and inoculated.

We found Pomfret a lovely home with a fantastic couple who adore him. This is probably the first time he has ever been loved!

This little lad was just so lucky that someone cared enough to take him to a vet - his injuries could have proved fatal if left untreated.
