We were called out to a private property in South Leeds to assess a sick looking fox. The fox was bald over 80% of its body and was clearly suffering from sarcoptic mange.
The severity of the condition with this particular fox meant that we had to trap it and then arrange for a specialist in fox care to treat the poor animal.
We waited for hours with an automatic humane trap in order to trap 'foxy'. We eventually caught him and he was transported for urgent treatment to a special fox centre.
Without our intervention this fox would have died within a few weeks.
